Kenneth “Mick” Lauer has recently joined OEM Data Delivery as a project manager/account manager. Lauer brings more than 20 years of heavy equipment operation and fleet management experience to OEM Data Delivery, including roles as fleet manager/equipment professional and jobsite equipment manager for Bechtel.
“As a former OEM Data Delivery client, I appreciate how innovative and customer-oriented the company is,” noted Lauer. He hopes to deliver that same value to clients in his new position. He added, “The customized solutions and out-of-the-box approach of OEM Data Delivery was immensely helpful in my fleet operation work. I understand the competitive advantage OEM Data Delivery brings. Not only did it help my team at Bechtel stay on budget, it provided the data we needed to account for the safety of workers.”
Previously, Lauer worked as a fleet manager/equipment professional for Bechtel, the world’s largest construction firm. He served as an equipment manager with Bechtel Equipment Operations at the ExxonMobil Baytown NAG-OR jobsite (a $1.5 billion project), where he managed 1,200 assets for 2,300 workers.
Lauer has extensive experience with crane operations, having worked for several other crane operating companies in Nevada, Tennessee and Florida. In addition, he is an OECP certified crane operator (Lattice Boom, Hyd Boom, Truck Crane, Tower Crane) and an AEMP certified equipment manager.
“Mick’s extensive first-hand knowledge of the jobsite will be an asset,” said Sam Simon, president of OEM Data Delivery. “His familiarity with personnel needs, budget issues and fleet operations will provide additional value to our customers.”
